Founded in 2005 by Dana Nestel, a former buyer for The Limited and Macy’s Department stores, The Write Occasion is a full-service event planning company based in the Washington, DC metro area. Dana and her team specialize in planning Bar and Bat Mitzvahs but love to plan all social events, weddings, birthday parties and any other special celebration.

The Write Occasion has become a labor of love. Dana’s business brings together her passion for planning life cycle events, her attention to detail, her knack for special touches as well as her emphasis on building and maintaining strong relationships with her clients, vendors and events team.

Dana and her team are focused on creating a unique event that reflects each client’s values and vision. The Write Occasion takes a collaborative approach and partners with each client in a personal and detail-oriented manner.
